Park Rapids School District Improvements

Park Rapids, Minnesota

Park Rapids Schools had a stated desire to move the Early Childhood program from their high school site to the elementary school site, to better align their learning environments. They also understand that they will experience growth in the next 10 years, and understood they didn’t have the capacity to accommodate that growth. Further, their staff understands the need to move to a Next Century education model, and their facilities were getting in the way of implementing this shift. Deferred maintenance at both buildings was also wearing down the district. The district wanted a solution that better aligned their grade configurations, provided opportunities for their students and staff, was flexible enough to meet the changing demands of educational delivery now and 20 years or more into the future. They also desired to create even more pride for their schools in the community.
