North Dakota Financial Center Study

Bismarck, North Dakota

In creating the North Dakota Financial Center the Bank of North Dakota had several goals in mind: first, to consolidate finance-related State departments into a single location from their current locations scattered across Bismarck, and in the process save tax-payer dollars. Second, create a “one-stop-shop” to meet financial and development needs of the State of North Dakota. And, third, to complete the Master Plan for a campus of buildings at the current Bank of North Dakota site overlooking the Missouri River. JLG developed a flexible open office environment that would accommodate multiple configurations of tenant fit out and capture as much natural daylighting as possible. Common conferencing, breakroom and outdoor gathering areas provide shared amenities to support the existing bank as well as the new tenants. The glassy exterior expression completes the visual connection and enhances the campus feel between the existing and new buildings.
