In partnership with area education, business, and industry interests, and $10 million in matching state funds, the new career and technical education center prepares students for high-paying, in-demand jobs. The new Career Impact Academy supports the vision for a great Grand Forks Area Career and Technical Center by creating a space for specialized skill development. The preliminary building diagram is organized around three axes connected by the Career Impact Academy hub. This central space welcomes students, community, and business partners into the center of the building and provides space to highlight each of the various programs offered in the new facility. The three wings support specific programming and culminate with larger two-story high labs which connect directly to flexible outdoor learning spaces. This project was designed in collaboration with BNDRY Studio.
