The Park Nicollet TRIA orthopedic team provides comprehensive care, from diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation. The previous multitenant facility limited expansion, proper wayfinding for patients, and training space. Securing a new 16,581 SF location and designing a work/training collaborative in the western Twin Cities suburbs was the solution. TRIA needed a more open space that felt like “working out of a garage,” yet more refined. JLG improved the new location’s existing finishes, advising black indoor turf in the training area for sprint and field training, concrete floors, and gradient vinyl graphics to express movement. The team also developed a player jersey display wall to showcase the sports personnel the trainers had developed. Additionally, walls were lowered to leverage the building’s high, open roof structure, maximize daylight via skylights, and create space for “Insta” worthy pics for trainers and clients. The facility offers a contemporary vibe with an industrial aesthetic, balancing the welcome of a workout facility and the game-face mentality of a physical therapy and performance training center.
