The Landing at 1001 NP was created to elevate a prominent gateway to an evolving Fargo neighborhood on the edge of a bustling downtown. At the corner of 10th Street and NP Avenue, the industrial railway-inspired development is designed to showcase the activity of a main level restaurant space with outdoor patio, highlighted by a prominent architectural cantilever of glass-enclosed apartments above. Designed by JLG, the unique exterior ties to the broader context of the neighborhood’s character, including local materials inspired by the nearby Northern Pacific Railway. From exterior to interior, a unique combination of reclaimed industrial and contemporary aesthetics was used to blend historical context with modern-day living in 262,000 SF. Here, residents can choose from an upper-level glassed unit, a two-story, loft-style walk-up unit, or a walk-up apartment on the first floor with elevated platforms that emulate historic train station loading areas. To encourage connection, all residents have access to a community room that opens to the outdoors — offering a rooftop terrace with stunning views of downtown Fargo. A combination of on-grade and below ground enclosed parking was created to provide spaces for both residential tenants and the commercial restaurant.
