Killdeer Aquatics and Wellness Center

The growing community of Killdeer, in conjunction with JLG Architects, held community input sessions to determine the feasibility of a new Aquatics and Wellness Center to serve its population of nearly 900 and its surrounding communities. After completing exploratory sessions, the City of Killdeer and JLG designed a new 18,500 SF facility to combine an indoor pool with a wellness component. This new facility replaced their existing outdoor pool and is now utilized by the High School students as well. Features designed into the Aquatics and Wellness Center include a lap pool, children’s pool, and community room as well as a wellness and aerobics component that overlooks the pool from the second level. Killdeer’s comprehensive aquatics and wellness center is now a family gathering hub that brings their community together and helps attract new residents for future growth.
