Renovating a Future-Ready flexible learning environment into an old 1930’s, multi-level elementary school is possible! By creatively expanding the floorplate on one side of the existing double-loaded corridor, the existing structure continues to be utilized while offering the flexible learning commons to each of the grade levels.
Harrison Elementary was part of the recently passed $200 million referendum in Brainerd, MN. Under the program management of ICS Consulting, JLG Architects joined a team of multiple design professionals as the K12 education expert architecture firm for this multiple-facility undertaking; working to establish the learning environment concepts for 9 facilities within the overall effort.
