Dakota State University Athletics Master Plan

The Dakota State University Athletics Master Plan is a bold vision for the future of the DSU Athletics Department, offering an improved experience for students, fans, and alumni. With JLG, DSU was able to organize all their sports programs into one consolidated district, including an events center, football field, esports, soccer, and track & field. As an efficient spatial solution, all components share a two-level concourse housing support spaces for athletics, academic programs, and the game-day experience. Through shared uses and program adjacencies, DSU’s master plan fosters opportunities for daily collaboration and camaraderie between staff, coaches, athletes, students, and fans. JLG ensured the master plan aligned with DSU’s current mission and vision for the Athletics Department by establishing an identity through distinctive design. By providing quality facilities to support recruitment and excellence in performance, DSU is able to promote engagement from within the surrounding campus and community of Madison, South Dakota.
