Lead-Deadwood School Board moves forward with middle school renovation

The Lead-Deadwood School Board signed a design contract with JLG Architects for the design of a possible renovation to the middle school building. The board will decide whether to move forward with construction after getting a cost of construction from the architects.

DEADWOOD — The Lead-Deadwood school board signed the architectural service agreement with JLG Architects Tuesday for the renovation of the middle school building.

The proposed renovation, which was first brought before the board in July, includes a pick-up and drop-off lane that is in a different location than the bus lane, a more secure entrance to the building with an updated administrative suite, and a new Science Technology Engineering and Math lab.
