PORT WENTWORTH, GA – August 20, 2024 – Today, the City of Port Wentworth and the Savannah Ghost Pirates partnered for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Ghost Pirates Ice Cove and City of Port Wentworth’s Amphitheater which will open during the 1st quarter of 2026. Representatives from Zawyer Sports, the Ghost Pirates’ parent company, and the City of Port Wentworth were joined by dignitaries including Mayor Pro Tem for the City, Gabrielle Nelson and Congressman Buddy Carter.
