Sanford Laboratories Amber Valley opened Monday, March 15, and is in the former PRACS Institute building at 4820 23rd Ave. S.
Sanford Health senior director of laboratory and pathology operations Tony Breding says it’s designed to have better collaboration for their teams all at one place. It will also improve turnaround times for patients waiting on their results.
On average, Sanford performs 5.5 million tests a year in Fargo.
Services at the new location include pathology, histology/gross tissue lab, cytology, microbiology and molecular biology, flow cytometry and quality and consulting.
“Having space to bring in new instruments, new equipment and develop and grow your lab over time is only going to be good for all patients and the Fargo metro area,” said Breding.
Patients will still go to their regular locations for all health care needs.
