Minot City Council Discusses Consulting Firm for New City Hall Location

Minot City Council to discuss consulting firm for new city hall location.

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot City Council moved approved a motion Monday to select JLG as the architectural consultant for the City Hall Rehabilitation Project.

City Engineer Lance Meyer said the city took possession of the old Wells Fargo building last week.

He said this spring they will get to work on a “space needs” analysis to address the room needed for staff.

Once design plans are finalized and bid for the project is awarded, he said construction could be completed by early 2023.

“Hopefully contract award sometime late fall, in that time frame and then it’s probably about a year build time is what we’re initially envisioning. That could be a little more or a little less,” said Meyer.

Meyer said the project cost roughly $12.8 million with $7.75 million coming from National Disaster Resilience funds.
