JLG’s proposed Wellness Center provides two levels for fitness and recreation use, which includes a main gym and court, locker rooms, public facilities and a running track, flex fitness spaces, a multi-purpose space, and offices.

LRSC Wellness Center
Grand Forks, North Dakota

Lake Region State College currently uses the adjacent High School gymnasium for games and events due to the fact that the LRSC gym does not meet size requirements for playing surfaces. The campus master plan indicates that the gym will be renovated into the Nursing Program facility, allowing the college to provide fitness, wellness, and athletic space for its students elsewhere. JLG’s proposed Wellness Center provides two levels for fitness and recreation use, which includes a main gym and court, locker rooms, public facilities and a running track, flex fitness spaces, a multi-purpose space, and offices. The bleacher system would hold a seating capacity of 2,400. The retractable system provides the flexibility of two cross/practice courts. The courts can be converted to accommodate one basketball court or two volleyball courts.

High Performance

Deep roof overhangs and upper clerestory windows allow maximum amounts of natural light while controlling solar gain and glare on playing surfaces, and providing opportunities for outdoor views from the running track.
