Stark County Courthouse
Dickinson, North Dakota
Stark County is undertaking a project that will create an addition to the existing historic courthouse. The major driving factors for the project were a definite need for county office space, as well as an increased desire for building security.
JLG has proposed a building design that provides a separate circulation path for defendants, judges, and law enforcement to enter the courtrooms in the building without crossing paths with the public. The enhanced circulation routes will directly benefit the public, as well as the county and judicial staff.
The new addition will include a secured sally port, a new commission room, county offices, a circulation link to the existing building, and related common and ancillary spaces.
