Loretta Building

Fargo, North Dakota

Fargo’s Loretta Building has had a sprawling presence in the heart of downtown for over 100 years, but with only 25 percent in use and 75 percent uninhabitable, it was time to give this landmark new life. To restore its glory, Kilbourne Group teamed up with JLG Architects, thoughtfully renovating the block’s three floors and uncovering the original brick, hardwood floors, and massive wood beams – making purposeful spaces focused on people and their passions. Today, Loretta offers over 48,000 square feet of prime retail, commercial, and office space, including a new fourth floor and walk-out patio that gives guests a birds-eye view of Broadway. Restoring Loretta’s good bones paves the way for another 100 years of good vibes, ambitious entrepreneurs, and booming business.
