First International Bank & Trust has announced plans to expand its footprint by adding a location in Grand Forks this fall at 1970 S. Columbia Road.
This will be the bank's 21st location in North Dakota and will secure a branch presence in the state's most populated cities.
The bank has a branch at 800 30th Ave. S. in Moorhead, as well as three branches in Fargo and one in West Fargo.
"While this is a new market for First International Bank & Trust, we have been serving customers in this region for many years," said CEO and Chairman Stephen Stenehjem. "Our bankers have strong ties with businesses and families in the area and we are pleased to be able to provide a location in Grand Forks to better serve their needs."
Wayne Zink has been hired as the location's president. Zink has 26 years experience in banking, with 18 of those years serving customers in Grand Forks.
First International Bank & Trust was first chartered as Farmer's State Bank in Arnegard, N.D., in 1910. Today, the full-service, independent community bank has branches across North Dakota, central Minnesota and Arizona.
